(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – On Wednesday, a madman with a gun went to the neighborhood of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh with the intention of assassinating him. His plot never came to fruition as he eventually called 911 on himself.
After the man was arrested, many people couldn’t help but remember comments made by Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. If President Trump can be held accountable for the so-called “insurrection” on Jan. 6 because he said people should go “peacefully” to the Capitol, then Schumer should certainly have some explaining to do.
According to CNBC, law enforcement officers reported that a California man packing a handgun, knife, pepper spray and other tools of mischief was arrested about 1 block away from Kavanaugh’s Maryland residence.
After he was taken into custody, he revealed his intention was to kill Kavanaugh, and then himself, according to court records.
“Nicholas John Roske, 26, said he was angry over the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion expected to overturn Roe v. Wade and the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas that left 19 students and two teachers dead, according to the probable cause affidavit.”https://t.co/MysTDZD3vm

Following the incident, many on the right pointed to previous comments made by Schumer as a cause for concern and even a potential catalyst for the man’s actions.
Georgia congressional candidate Vernon Jones shared a video from 2020 in which Schumer expressed outrage at Justices Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch for considering decisions he did not agree with. You know, the typical emotional rhetoric we’ve come to expect from Democrats.
“I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh: You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price,” Schumer said. “You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
Last night, a deranged man sought to murder Brett Kavanaugh at his family’s home.
Following this CLEAR incitement of violence by @chuckschumer, he should be charged as well.
This not acceptable in any civil society. pic.twitter.com/9htw4RQh9H

Many people rightly criticized Schumer’s comments when he originally made them but now Jones pointed out that these comments are significantly relevant to Wednesday’s incident.
“Last night, a deranged man sought to murder Brett Kavanaugh at his family’s home,” Jones wrote in his tweet. “Following this CLEAR incitement of violence by @chuckschumer, he should be charged as well. This is not acceptable in any civil society.”
He’s absolutely right. What on earth could Schumer have meant when he said “you won’t know what hit you” if it wasn’t violence?
Republican Rep. Darrell Issa agreed with Jones and said Wednesday’s incident could clearly be related back to Schumer’s comments.
“Is anyone surprised that the dangerous rhetoric of this White House, Sen. Schumer and Democrat special interests could incite deadly violence against Supreme Court justices and their families?” Issa wrote in a tweet.

Outkick founder and conservative commentator Clay Travis said Republicans should investigate Schumer’s comments with the same scrutiny and fervor as the Democrats have following the Jan. 6, 2020, Capitol incident.
“Here’s Chuck Schumer encouraging an insurrection against the Supreme Court,” he wrote in his own tweet alongside the video of Schumer. “Republicans may need to start a June 8th committee to investigate when they take back the House and Senate this fall.”

Other conservatives, including The Federalist editor-in-chief Mollie Hemingway and criminal defense attorney Jonathan Turley, agreed Schumer’s comments were deeply concerning.
And this is why Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer explicitly and directly threatening Kavanaugh and Gorsuch from the steps of the Supreme Court in 2020 was so dangerous. https://t.co/jK4LnsgV3s

While clearly unintended, some can take the wrong meaning from words like those from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on the steps of the Supreme Court that expressly referred to Justice Kavanaugh…

After the California man was arrested for his plot to murder Justice Kavanaugh, Attorney General Merrick Garland issued a statement in which he roundly condemned any threats or acts of violence against Supreme Court justices.
“Threats of violence and actual violence against the justices of course strike at the heart of our democracy, and we will do everything we can to prevent them and hold the people who do them accountable for that reason,” Garland said.
We wouldn’t expect Garland to say anything less at this point but the reality is he nor his department have done anything to stop the crazed rhetoric spewed by leftists that encourages mentally unstable people to take action.
