(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – Joe Biden will finally get to accomplish diversity on the Supreme Court. Now that Justice Stephen Breyer is officially retiring, the Supreme Court will have its first black justice. Wait a minute, Clarence Thomas is black and Thurgood Marshall was the first. The court will now have its first female justice. Ugh, nope. The court has had plenty of those.
Guess Joe Biden’s attempt to be as woke as possible by ensuring that a black female was nominated have fallen pretty flat.
Sure, soon-to-be Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is the first black female to sit on the high court, but Biden made sure that it was known far and wide that the only reason she was getting the nomination was because of her gender and skin color.
Not exactly an endorsement of merit and hardly an occasion worth celebrating.
Nonetheless, on Wednesday Breyer sent a letter to Joe Biden declaring his intention to retire effective Thursday at noon.
Breyer’s retirement was expected as he had announced back in January that he would be leaving the bench after the court’s summer session. The nation’s highest court is expected to issue its final opinions of its current term on Thursday.
Breyer has been one of the court’s most consistent liberal justices, after having been nominated by then-President Bill Clinton in 1994.
“It has been my great honor to participate as a judge in the effort to maintain our Constitution and the rule of law,” he wrote in his letter to Biden.
Breyer said Jackson was “prepared to take the prescribed oaths to begin her service as the 116th member of this Court.”

As you recall, Brown Jackson has been confirmed since April but waiting to take her oath as an associate justice until Breyer officially retires.
The court announced she will be sworn in Thursday at noon.

Breyer was able to take one last stand for Roe v Wade after having voted against the court’s conservative majority. Brown Jackson won’t change the political make-up of the court, so conservatives have no need to worry.
Jackson is, however, just as liberal as Breyer, as she expressed many of the same views during her confirmation hearings that Breyer has been known for. That should come as no surprise. The left was desperate to get a nomination on the court. Too bad it was just to replace a fellow liberal.
Unfortunately, Biden made sure to taint Brown Jackson’s nomination by discriminating against all other qualified candidates in the US because of their skin color and gender.
Brown Jackson may very well be qualified and accomplished enough to sit on the US Supreme Court but all anyone will remember is that she was nominated to appease the left’s diversity quota for the court.
What a shame.

“Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) stated the Supreme Court should undergo “reforms” or be abolished “for the sake of the planet.”
But it would be far better that AOC be abolished “for the sake of the planet”.
To put Jackson on the supreme court is just the continuation of their corruption. First the morally bankrupted Clinton and Obama then, via voter fraud the Mentally deficient Biden,
and now a less than honorable and capable Jackson on the Supreme Court.
