Asked By Chris Wallace If Election Was Stolen, GOP Whip Steve Scalise Issues Powerful Response

(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, making an appearance on Fox News over the last weekend where he spoke with host Chris Wallace, seemed to cast a bit of doubt on the 2020 presidential election during the interview when pressed about President Donald Trump’s claims that the election was stolen from him.

A report published by BizPacReview says that the conversation between the two men came just a few hours after Trump once again made claims that the election last year was stolen during a rally he held in Des Moines, Iowa.

“They used Covid in order to cheat and rig. Remember this is not about me being robbed of an election. This is about the American people having their country taken away from them,” Trump reportedly stated during his speech.

The interview started off by the pair talking about other issues before Wallace got around to asking Scalise directly whether or not he believes Trump’s claims and whether he believes these claims are undermining democracy in America.

Just a quick side note. America is not a democracy. It’s a republic. Democracy is mob rule and is the gateway for socialism to take root in a country. Our founders understood this and thus, they opted to build a free nation as a republic instead. Big distinction that is critical to make. Sad to see so many “professionals” in both media and politics not grasp the difference.

“Clearly there were irregularities in the last election; there are irregularities in all elections. I want to ask you a specific question: Do you think the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump?” Wallace went on to ask.

“And continuing to make that charge, not having states do election reforms, but specifically making this charge that the election was stolen. Do you think that that hurts, undermines American democracy?” he followed up.

“Scalise responded by, interestingly enough, relitigating the past election and drawing attention to the sliver of states that he believes had during the 2020 election failed to abide by constitutional law,” the report said.

“If you look at a number of states, they didn’t follow their state-passed laws. That’s what the United States Constitution says. They don’t say the states determine what the rules are; they say the state legislatures determine …,” the congressman went on to say before being cut off.

“But the states all certified,” the Fox News host interjected.

“But they didn’t follow those legislative rules,” Scalise shot back.

“At the end of the day, are we going to follow what the Constitution says or not? I hope we get back to what the Constitution says, but clearly a number of states didn’t follow those legislative rules,” he added.

Wallace then goes on to respond by putting words in Scalise’s mouth.

“So you think the election was stolen?” he asked.

However, you’ll note that the congressman never said that.

“What I said is there are states that didn’t follow their legislatively set rules. That’s what the United States Constitution says. I think there are a lot of people who want to get back to what the Constitution says,” he fired off in response.

“Not just with elections, but with a lot of other things. And some people want to ignore what the Constitution says and do their own thing. That’s been a debate going on in this country for a long time. Why don’t we just get back to the Constitution?” He continued.

Wallace then circled back to the original question. However, this time he went on to point out how many GOP voters also believe the election was stolen.

“There was a rally for President Trump yesterday, and a number of people said ‘Joe Biden is not my president; Donald Trump is my president,’” Wallace said.

“I guess the question is, do you think the election was still in or not? Last time, I promise. I understand there are irregularities and things that needed to be fixed. Do you think the election was still in?” Wallace went on to ask.

Scalise once again stressed that numerous states failed to abide by the law of the land, the U.S. Constitution.

“It’s not just irregularities. It is states that did not follow the laws. When you see states like Georgia cleaning up some of the mess, and people calling that [a] ‘Jim Crow law,’ that’s a flat out lie. … The legislature passed that law. That is what is in the Constitution of the United States, and it wasn’t followed in a number of states,” he said.

The “Jim Crow” law, which is how Democrats refer to the legislation, was signed into law by Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp back in March. And if anyone remembers correctly, Kemp is not exactly close to Trump, to make sure that future elections in the state abide by the Constitution.

“Significant reforms to our state elections were needed. There’s no doubt there were many alarming issues with how the election was handled, and those problems, understandably, led to a crisis of confidence,” Kemp stated at the time the bill was signed.

Scalise repeatedly explained that the real issue at hand is that this crisis of confidence is persisting due to the fact that while future elections in the state of Georgia are more secure now than before, elections taking place in other states are not.

He then went on to say that President Donald Trump and his supporters, which includes himself, this repair doesn’t change the fact that something bad happened during the last election and that still has yet to be accounted for.

  1. Hillary never conceded the 2016 election. Remember the impeachments? Trumps policies did not matter, they went after him for 4 Years. Now the shoe is on the other foot, Trump has not conceded the election but Biden’s policies are destroying the country.

    While the American people loose their lives, employment , and health as they are denied the true medical treatment that would have save lives, many are convinced for political power reasons to accept a shot which does little if anything to save lives and curb the progression of a disease. . . members of congress are availing themselves without informing us of the medical treatment that we are denied.

    To describe ivermectin as a horse medicine is a statement coming forth from an idiot. Our vet prescribed prednisone for our cat and dog. I have been prescribed prednisone and so has my son because it provided a medical need. Does that mean that this life saving medicine is wrongly given to people when it is also used for medical needs of other living organisms.

    America and medical practitioners stop being a dunces and prescribe the hydroxychlorquine or ivermectin that is needed where ever and for whom ever it is needed.

    Democrats have made Americans really stupid to believed the manipulating false hoods they promote as truth. it matters not to them that these falsehoods cost tens of thousands their lives.

    It has been reported after India struggled with the virus and the use of the ineffective vaccine started prescribing Ivermectin, and the epidemic was quickly over.

    Now it is reported that in secret some in congress are using ivermectin for themselves , for staff, and family members, leaving the American population with dems denying the access to this life saving drug. No action on their part could be categorized as more demonic.

  6. Chris Wallace used all his journalism skills to ruffle Rep. Scalese’s feathers but none of them worked. Scalese is is an extremely bright, well informed individual. Wallace was clearly trying to legitimize all of Biden’s colossal failures and Scalese was not having it. Well done Congressman!

  7. Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Georgia the electors were chosen by someone other than the State Legislators as stipulated in the constitution. To make matters worse the Supreme Court refused to hear litigation on the matter. im sure the evil dems threatened them so they would ignore the most consequential case in a life time.
