(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – A pollster for former President Bill Clinton has issued a prediction that Joe Biden might not run for a second term in 2024 during an appearance he made Monday on Fox News.
“I’ve always for a long time doubted whether President Biden was actually going to run for re-election,” Mark Penn stated during an interview with Fox News host Martha McCallum on “The Story.” “When you’re the president and you’ve even gotten to the midterms, you really need to tell everybody you’re running because you don’t want to be a premature lame duck.”
According to WND, “Penn expressed surprise at comments by Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York that he described as “yanking the rug” out from under Biden.”
“I mean first of all, I’m focused on winning the majority right now and preserving a majority this year in 2022, so we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it,” Ocasio-Cortez stated during an interview conducted on CNN over the weekend. “But I think if the President has a vision, then that’s something certainly, we’re all willing to entertain and examine when the time comes.”
There have been a number of other Democrats who share AOC’s doubts about whether or not Biden should consider running again in 2024, according to a report put out by the New York Times.
“It’s a big mistake to do a campaign like this before the mid-terms,” Penn continued. “Maybe the signal is he’s so negative, maybe we’ll do better in the midterms if people think he’s not running. It adds to a sense of Democratic disunity.”
Karl Rove, a GOP strategist, also has doubts about Biden being able to pull off a victory in 2024, indicating much of that falls on his age.
“I think there’s a zero percent chance that the Democrats are going to nominate him, either because they don’t want to or he withdraws” Rove remarked. “He’s already struggling. We know that. This is a demanding job and physically it requires a lot, and the president is obviously already struggling.”
When the Daily Caller News Foundation attempted to reach out to the White House to get a comment about the story, they did not receive an immediate response.
It’s not only Biden’s age that’s a big issue.
We’ve witnessed a lot of evidence over the course of the last year and a half that suggests the current commander-in-chief is experiencing cognitive decline. That’s not really surprising given his current age. But if that is indeed the case, just imagine how much worse it could be by the time he runs again? This sort of deterioration happens rather quickly when you are almost 80 years old.
The bottom line is we need to have Biden take a cognitive test to determine if he’s even able to be in office right now, let alone run again in 2024.
