BREAKING: Powerful Democrat Resigns

(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – More bad news for Democrats as the midterm elections are fast-approaching. Democratic Rep. Bobby Rush of Illinois has joined the ranks of veteran Democrats who are retiring and therefore won’t be running for reelection this year.

Rush, 75, has been a member of Congress since 1992 when he was first elected. He has enjoyed solid standing in his district so much so that in 2000 he defeated future president Barack Obama in a Democratic primary for the seat.

Now he’s become the 24th House Democrat to announce their retirement, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The former Black Panther says he wants to retire so his grandchildren can know him as a person rather than just a name.

“I don’t want my grandchildren … to know me from a television news clip or something they read in a newspaper,” Rush said. “I want them to know me on an intimate level, know something about me, and I want to know something about them. I don’t want to be a historical figure to my grandchildren.”

While that’s all good and well, the more likely reason is that Rush is jumping ship just like the 23 other veteran Democrats who are also retiring. The Democratic Party is just not what it used to be and these politicians don’t want to be associated with it or the fraudulent, anti-American Biden regime any longer.

Nonetheless, Rush retiring just adds to the problems facing Democrats as the 2022 elections approach. NPR national political correspondent Mara Liasson recently pointed out that the Democratic plight is unique.

“The mood is bad. I haven’t ever covered a midterm election cycle when one party is as pessimistic about their prospects as Democrats are today or that the other party, the out party, is as optimistic about their prospects as Republicans are about winning back the House,” she said, according to NPR.

Liasson cited “the president’s low approval ratings” and “the persistence of the pandemic” as reasons Democrats have fallen out of favor. Of course, as an NPR reporter, she would never dare acknowledge the stolen election as a reason.

Fox News pointed out that oftentimes retirements can be indicative of what the parties expect to happen during upcoming elections. In 2018, when Democrats took control of the House, 23 Republican House members retired.

Now that same trend is happening to the Democrats.

“Only members themselves know why they decide to retire. But if there’s an imbalance of retirements toward one party or another, it sometimes can tell us something about what the party with a lot of retirees thinks might happen in the midterms,” Kyle Kondik, the managing editor of the political handicapper Sabato’s Crystal Ball, said, according to Fox News.

Republicans are looking at a massive victory during the midterms.

“House Republicans are targeting 70 Democrat-held seats,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said in a recent fund-raising email.

“We are going to take back the largest House majority in a decade,” he wrote.

“In a cycle like this, no Democrat is safe,” National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Emmer said.

“Voters are rejecting Democrat policies that have caused massive price increases, opened our borders, and spurred a nationwide crime wave,” he said.

They’re also rejecting the obviously stolen election. Americans waited for justice to be done in regards to the rigged election and the usurper president but, as usual, there will be no justice. The only way to right this ship is at the ballot box and that’s only if Democrats don’t interfere again.

  1. I tend to think he chooses not have his history and actions as an elected person exposed for all to see, including his grandchildren on their Grampa’s actions, and how he may have sold them down the river. Every politician should be required to print their accomplishments with specifics as to how it benefits the voters in the district and others. I concur with Trisha on the RNC / NRCC that their only concern is MONEY, excluding performance, accountability, and facts. Do they really think we (voters) are that damn dumb?

    • Cheney will take it on the chin from the good folks In Montana WHEN they vote this traitor out of office .

    • Chopper, what pray tell does anyone in Montana have to say about it?
Cheney is from Wyoming….. Wisconsin born nutjob.

    • You right as usual bubbajoe, Thanks for the correction. It’s been a very long time since I could recognize all 57 states , or is it 50 states ? I do remember some lying community agitator/ politician saying there was 57 .

  2. If the corrupt and fraudulent voting methods are still in play, Mr. McCarthy can forget winning !! What are the Republicans doing to make sure this won’t happen again? You better believe the demonic Dems will stop at nothing to make sure it does!

  3. How true your statements are Phyll2. Pence caused this mess but not standing up for His president or we the people. We do not need Pence back. He was a turn coat and a coward.

  4. They better not run Pence. No stomach for his “values”. Might as well find another Bush somewhere under some rock and run him. You guys who think Pence would be a good candidate should have your heads examined. Really, 25% of you think Pence would be a suitable replacement for Trump if he doesn’t run. I’ll bet he doesn’t think so, so I’m rather dubious about this “Harvard” poll. They didn’t ask me or anybody else I know. As far as I’m concerned, Pence is at the epicenter of our current problems.

    • So very true. Pence is nothing more than another Bush, new world order. He’s no different than the big band of elected RINO’s who do not stand with Conservatives and Republican Party. Rona McDaniel has needed to get a grip of Repub Party and work her rear off to get and keep Repubs on the same page. But instead, she has let the party run willy nilly instead of uniting it. Thus I will not join/donate to RNC or NRCC. I write to them and express this and return the paraphernalia. Still the Repubs are here, there and everywhere when it comes to supporting Obama and now Biden.
