Get Woke, Go Broke: Salvation Army Pulls U-Turn On ‘Guidance’ For Whites

(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – Woke ideology is beginning to infect every facet of society, from entertainment we consume on a daily basis all the way through sports, education, health care, etc.

However, the more “wokeness” gets pushed down the throats of average Americans, the more folks awaken to the fact this bogus way of thinking is not only wrong, but is destroying the values our country was founded upon.

There’s a saying, “go woke, go broke,” and it’s something a lot of organizations and companies are having to learn the hard way.

According to the Gateway Pundit, the latest organization to get schooled on how much the folks in this country hate wokeness is the Salvation Army. Apparently, they were asking for white donors to reflect on their racism this year.

This went over like a lead balloon.

Over Thanksgiving, the Salvation Army released a statement that refutes the very claims they made concerning their racial demands.

“And now it appears the Salvation Army has removed its absurd “Let’s Talk About Racism” guide following intense backlash over a text last week that told white donors to “sincerely apologize” for their racism while asserting that Christianity is institutionally racist,” the report said.

If you click the link to the page, it appears it’s now broken and you end up getting this screen (screen shot here).

“As a result of the guide becoming public, donors and supporters across the country have been rescinding their support of the organization en masse, which prompted the Salvation Army to discontinue the guide pending ‘appropriate review.’ But despite removing the documents – for now – nothing in their statement indicates that they are going to back down from pushing woke ideology upon donors,” the report continued.

“In fact, it’s quite the contrary. The charity now attempts to shift the blame by claiming that nefarious individuals are making ‘false claims’ and misrepresenting the content to suit their own agenda, while simultaneously reaffirming the Salvation Army’s support for woke ideology,” GP said.

Here’s an excerpt from the statement, which was called “The Salvation Army’s Response to False Claims on the Topic of Racism:”

“The Salvation Army occasionally publishes internal study guides on various complex topics to help foster positive conversations and grace-filled reflection among Salvationists. By openly discussing these issues, we always hope to encourage the development of a more thoughtful organization that is better positioned to support those in need. But no one is being told how to think. Period,” the statement read.

“In this case, the guide ‘Let’s Talk About Racism,’ was issued as a voluntary resource, but it has since become a focus of controversy. We have done our best to provide accurate information, but unfortunately, some have chosen to ignore those efforts. At the same time, International Headquarters realized that certain aspects of the guide may need to be clarified,” it continued.

“Consequently, for both reasons, the [Salvation Army’s] International Social Justice Commission has now withdrawn the guide for appropriate review,” the statement said.

“The Salvation Army’s Alexandria-based leadership has created an ‘International Social Justice Commission’ which has developed and released a ‘resource’ to educate its white donors, volunteers and employees called Let’s Talk about Racism,” Central Nova News reported.

“It asserts Christianity is institutionally racist, calling for white Christians to repent and offer ‘a sincere apology’ to blacks for being ‘antagonistic.. to black people or the culture, values and interests of the black community,'” the report continued.

There are consequences for spreading hate. Yes, that’s right. Those who push “wokeness” are the ones who are actually continuing to give life to racial prejudice and hatred, caring little for the fact that this is destroying our nation and pitting Americans against each other along arbitrary lines such as race and skin color.

Salvation Army people should feel ashamed of themselves.

  1. What!!???
I rather put in a note of apology instead of coinage
This way they can use it for firewood
The Salvation Army is not scriptural anymore either…
Oh, learned about that after the wars in Europe what they really did, eh?

God Bless and thank you for this site
I would love to a conversation on how we VET candidates

  3. Very sad for sure! I’ve supported them for many years but will no more. In all honesty, I don’t think the top paying salaries are extremely high. The SA has been at the bottom of the salary chain for many years compared to United Way, Wounded Warrior and many more. I guess that has changed too. I would guess that the majority of money raised come from White people and now they’re biting the hand that feeds them! Go figure. Perhaps they should sit outside minority owned businesses to collect their funds? I think not.

  4. “International Social Justice commission”
Black Marxist infection again. I passed 3 Salvation Army kettles today. No one was giving a dime. Good luck with that.

    • Huge…did they learn anything yet?
Maybe if the Salvation Army flies a banner of apology to those who always supported them
      They owe us BIG APOLOGY!!!!!!

  5. I have written many many checks to the SALVATION ARMY because i have seen the good work they have done in my community many have been helped, But the SALVATION ARMY MUST HAVE FORGOTTEN WHERE THE MONEY THEY NEED COMES FROM,This is an organization that had at one time only ONE PURPOSE that was to extend a helping hand to those in need and they did an excellent job at their original purpose, I will now have to reconsider my donaions to an organization that expects me to apologize for the color of my skin i have never been nor will ever be a RACIST GOD MADE US ALL and the color of my skin was his decision and if any organization expects me to apologize then they need not send me letters asking for my money. This is really a shame they have done so much in helping those in need, But i will be looking for another charity to donate to in the future. There is still and will always be a need by others less fortunate and we should continue to donate to help but we dont have to support those that think we must apologize for our color no matter what that color is. SALVATION ARMY you have tried to clarify your position but i think you have only made it worse, You should have stuck to your original purpose and stayed away from the WOKE ARGUMENT AND OUT OF POLITICS.You dont ask someone for help and then expect them to apologize at the same time.

  6. This CEO makes over $60K/yr. Why he/she is not smart enough to see this would be the public’s reaction beforehand is very hard to comprehend. Their position has not changed regardless of what they say so I am done with them.

    • The average Joe or Jane who puts their coinage in the RED KETTLE/ should be black
They do NOT MAKE THAT MUCH MONEY
donate your salary to the corporation
      No longer yours to announce

  7. The Salvation Army has been in my prayers for years – not now. And if I could get my money back out of that kettle, I would. GO WOKE – GO BROKE.

  8. I walked by the POT today, not giving for the first year ever. You can take it all back now ,but it will not change who you really are.We all thought you were up and up. You have. made a HUGE HUGE mistake. I will never give to you again.I am crushed. The only place left that we thought was still cristian based, and now it is gone. you are done. You will lose hundreds of millions

  9. I have seldom donated to the Salvation. First is because the upper ceo plus are making themselves millions. After this crap I’ll never donate and Christian’s are not necessarily racist. These people have twisted this all around but what can you expect

  10. After donating for the past 40 years, the LETS TALK ABOUT RACISM IS CALLING ALL WHITES RACISTS! we are not RACISTS so we won’t donate to Salvation any longer You can go to hell

  11. You reap what you sow, isn’t that wisdom from Proverbs? Shouldn’t the Salvation Army know these words well? No more money for them.

  12. Going woke is the DEBS syndrome taking effect. DEBS is Dead Brain Syndrome, named after Debbie Wasserman Schultz. A term I recently coined that sure seems appropriate for the left these days.
DEBS is akin to the instructor (an active DEA agent) in front of the class saying, quite clearly, “I’m the only one in this room capable of safely handling a weapon”….. about 15 seconds before he shoots himself in the foot.

  13. What a shame!!! They were the one organization that I believed in their values. I will give to animal shelters and the local zoo only now.

    Disappointed!!!
