Will Pence Be Trump’s Running Mate In 2024? Trump Makes Major Announcement

(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – There is no chance that President Trump will choose Mike Pence to be his running mate again should he run for the White House again in 2024.

While there has been little speculation that Trump would actually select Pence as his running mate in 2024, we now have a definitive answer on the matter from Trump himself who claims Pence “committed political suicide.”

In an interview released Wednesday, the former president said it “would be totally inappropriate” for Pence to be his running mate for another bid at the presidency.

“Mike committed political suicide,” Trump said during the interview, conducted by New York Times Chief White House Correspondent Peter Baker and New Yorker Staff Writer Susan Glassner for their upcoming book – The Divider – about the Trump presidency.

The Guardian obtained an advanced copy of the book, due to be published on Sept. 20.

Trump asserts that Pence rejected pressure from Trump not to certify the Electoral College Votes of Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Georgia, all of which Joe Biden “won” in the 2020 election.

Pence had the opportunity to stand in the gap and refused to take action claiming there was nothing he could do, according to the US Constitution.

At the time he was Vice President and ex-officio President of the Senate and was presiding over the Joint Session of Congress that convened to certify the electoral votes of states.

The certification of the electoral votes is the last step before a new president and vice president are sworn into office. Mike Pence’s refusal to take action led to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris being sworn into office and opened the door for the radical left to begin the destruction of the US.

A legal theory had come together in the days leading up to the Jan. 6 joint session of Congress which contended that Pence could reject the states’ electoral votes, even if a formal objection was not sustained by both the House and the Senate.

However, few if any legal experts agreed that the theory had any merit.

A federal lawsuit filed by Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas that sought to overturn the Electoral Count Act as unconstitutional, using the 12th Amendment and Trump’s theory as an argument, was denied review by the Supreme Court.

Despite the fact that few legal experts agreed the plan would be constitutional, Trump called on Pence to reject the states’ votes. This would have left both candidates with less than the required 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency. This would have submitted the election to the House of Representatives according to the 12th Amendment’s provisions.

John Quincy Adams was elected by the House under this law in 1824 when he defeated Andrew Jackson.

Prior to the Jan. 6 joint session, Pence sent a letter to all members of Congress stating that he lacked the authority that Trump and Powell suggested he had. Of course, this did not go over well with Trump and his supporters.

“If Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election,” Trump said at a Jan. 6 rally at the Ellipse. “If he doesn’t, that will be a sad day for our country because you’re sworn to uphold our Constitution.”

Trump’s pleas to Mike Pence to “do the right thing” were later used to impeach him a second time as Democrats contended he “incited” the riot that ensued on Jan. 6.

Trump is expected to take another run at the presidency in 2024 despite having yet to make any formal declaration of his intentions. A June Morning Consult poll showed 53% of GOP voters would support Trump as the Republican presidential nominee while Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida came in second at 16%. Pence came in third with 16%.

Trump has distanced himself from Pence since Jan. 6 and there’s no way he’s going to choose him as his running mate again in 2024.

  1. Pence was behind some of what went wrong in the white house as well. He is an aberration of what he wanted people to think he was. He claims to be a God-fearing Christian who, like so many others are in church every Sunday but refuse to discuss their dealings the rest of the week.
Pense is another self-serving swamp rat that outed himself as the fraud he is.
